Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez discussed his side's 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford in the English Premier League on Sunday (5 May).

"Obviously I think United, after winning the title, normally you can expect that they will be a little more relaxed. And that was my team talk at half time, trying to increase the tempo. Because I could see we were controlling, we were doing well, but still we were missing the high tempo that is necessary if you want to beat a team like United. I think that we did it in the second half, but still it wasn't perfect, but enough for winning the game and I'm pleased for the players and everyone."

"Again, and I don't want to repeat and repeat the same things, with all the circumstances around, all the games, the squad that we have is not too big, African Cup of Nations, Japan (where they played the Club World Cup), everything.
